Welcome
We are a charity-run
group serving the local community of Bracknell and the surrounding area
offering Pre-school education for 2 to 5 year olds. The high ratio of
staff to children and our purpose built facility enables us to provide
our children with high quality play and education.

About South
Hill Park Pre-School
We are a
non profit-making and are registered as an educational charity (Charity
Reg Number 1023654). We find that this has huge benefits for the preschool
as it means that we are run for the sole benefit of the children rather
than a profit making individual. The Pre-school is managed by a volunteer
Management Committee who are usually parents, ex-parents or interested
individuals.

The Aims of South Hill Park Pre-school
To meet the
needs of all children in our care in accordance with their stage of
development as outlined in 'The Needs of the Under Five's' highlighted
by the National Curriculum. With the aid of careful planning, we provide
a variety of activities to encourage exploration and learning through
play, to nurture self confidence, to make new friends and enable your
child to make an easy transition to later school life, to provide a
safe, controlled and enjoyable environment for any Pre-school child
between 2 and 5 years.
Role Play Area
Since our
Pre-school's foundation many happy children have passed through our
doors. As a parent, you will wish to be sure that your child will be
cared for by experienced and qualified staff. In April 2007 we had our
Ofsted inspection for which we received a good outcome. The report,
amongst many other things stated that "children thrive in the vibrant,
lively atmosphere of this pre-school. They enjoy their time and remain
very well occupied, making their own decisions about what they do as
they move freely around. Staff provide a well presented learning environment
with an interesting range of resources that cater for all areas of learning.
There is a strong focus on learning through play..." and "the
quality of teaching and children's learning is good. Children are actively
involved in their own learning...".

Hill Park Pre-school Website is designed for both prospective parents
and parents of children who already attend the Pre-school. For prospective
parents you will find a wealth of information about our facilities,
how we are run, staff, policies, curriculum information and much more.
We hope our
current parents will find the site equally as useful as we endeavour
to keep it up-to-date with news, events, information on the weekly themes,
letters and forms which you can download and information about anything
new we introduce at Pre-school.
