My daughter has recently started sessions at South Hill Pre-School. She was on a waiting list & i see why! It is a brilliant Pre-school offering lots of support for both children & parents.My daughter has gained huge confidence learning through play

I am now sending my second child to South Hill Park and wouldn't consider anywhere else its great place with friendly staff and really builds the childrens confidence.

South Hill Park Pre School is a lovely pre school, with fantastic staff. My son loves it there and has certainly grown in confidence as a child since he has been going. All staff members remember him by name which is really nice and welcoming :)

They are a fab environment for my 3 year old daughter. They have loads of activities, indoors and outdoors and their commitment to the education of our children is exemplary.

"My son loved being in Rainbows with Debbie. I couldn't possible list all the benefits or praise the Pre-school highly enough. His confidence increased and he became more independent; he responded well to the small groups and high staff ratio which helped his behaviour enormously; he began to show a huge respect for other people; his language improved (Debbie took on board the work he was doing with the Speech Therapist); his writing and letter recognition took a huge leap; his creativity was encouraged. Shall I go on? He is now at Birch Hill School where he started with 11 other SHP children. He settled in and made new friends very quickly."

"My daughter loved the afternoon sessions. She thrived on the individual attention she received and the fact that the sessions are more structured. When the time came to choose her primary school I was put under pressure by her chosen school to move her to the attached nursery to prevent settling in problems. I chose not to uproot her and we experienced no settling in issues whatsoever. It's down to personal preference - you know your child best!"

"We noticed a big difference in G's confidence within the first couple of weeks of moving up to afternoon sessions. It was clearly more structured with more reading, letter and number work done within each group. Socially friendships became stronger within the group and G looked forward to going to class every day. G started at primary school at 5 and was fully prepared and confident. "My son took a while to settle in morning sessions but the staff were very patient with us both and we both made good friends and I learnt to trust the staff. The change in my son was unbelievable - his confidence was amazing and I found it wonderful to have a few hours off! When he was offered an afternoon space I thought he would become unsettled again but I took the advice of the staff and had no problems at all - he stayed with his friends and the staff and surroundings he had learnt to trust. Once again I was amazed how he came on in leaps and bounds. I am extremely happy with SHP and value their experience and knowledge."
